Job Description – Finance Managerial Role for Chartered Accountant (CA)
Location:
Mumbai

Position: Finance Manager
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    Oversee the preparation of financial statements (balance sheets, P&L, cash flows) and ensure they comply with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and relevant regulations. Provide insightful analysis of financial data to support decision-making at the senior management level.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    Assist in the creation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Work closely with different departments to assess financial performance and align departmental goals with company objectives.
  • Internal Controls & Audits:
    Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with financial regulations. Oversee both internal and external audits and ensure timely completion of audit processes.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and financial health of the organization. Proactively manage cash requirements and implement strategies to optimize working capital.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and statutory requirements such as the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other relevant guidelines. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Financial Strategy:
    Contribute to the development of financial strategies that support business growth and risk management. Provide recommendations to management regarding financial planning, investment strategies, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support for career development.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Professional Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, and corporate governance.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a managerial finance role, preferably within the finance, broking, or financial services industry.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in financial reporting tools and software, strong Excel and data analysis skills. Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing a finance team and collaborating with cross-functional departments.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior management, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
