Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry, and a demonstrated ability to manage financial records, process payroll, and handle supplier payments efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in accounting software and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Finalization of Accounts:
    • Prepare and finalize financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with local accounting regulations and international financial standards.
    • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities.
  2. Payroll Processing:
    • Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits.
    • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws.
    • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
  3. Payment Processing for Suppliers:
    • Verify and process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Reconcile vendor accounts and handle queries related to payments.
    • Ensure adherence to payment schedules and manage vendor relationships.
  4. Banking and Customer Liaison:
    • Communicate and coordinate with bankers regarding account management and financial transactions.
    • Maintain relationships with customers, ensuring timely resolution of financial queries.
    • Assist in bank reconciliation and preparation of reports.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com or M.Com).
    • Professional certifications (such as CPA, CMA) will be an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
    • Familiarity with accounting software like Sage X3 or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance procedures is preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members, vendors, and clients effectively.
    • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
    • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
