How authority flows through internal links depends on click depth from the homepage, how many pages link to a given URL, and whether navigation and footer links dominate the count — since a link repeated site-wide divides its value across every page that carries it. Orphaned pages receive nothing at all, and deep pages reached only through pagination receive close to it.
