Job Opportunity: Accounts Payable Manager
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Experience in a high-volume corporate environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Oversight:
- Manage and supervise the accounts payable department and staff.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.
- Maintain accurate records and control reports.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial reports related to accounts payable.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Vendor Management:
- Maintain and update vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status, discrepancies, and payment issues.
- Resolve vendor disputes and ensure timely payments.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain documentation for accounts payable procedures and controls.
- Train and support team members on accounts payable processes.
- Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of accounts payable processes.
- Implement audit recommendations and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for team members.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
