Role: Assistant Finance Controller (AFC)
Compensation: Up to 35 LPA
About the Role:
We are exclusively mandated by a leading organization in Gurugram to identify and recruit an Assistant Finance Controller (AFC) for their Controllership team. This role is ideal for finance professionals with significant experience in finance and controllership, who are looking to make a substantial impact in a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with IND AS.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and manage financial discrepancies and resolve any accounting issues.
- Audit Management:
- Lead and manage the external audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure that audit findings are addressed and implemented promptly.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of financial policies to maintain best practices.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide training and development opportunities to team members.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance team, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Support the development of financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
- Perform financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor and control operational costs to ensure budget adherence.
- Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
- Conduct financial reviews and variance analysis to identify cost drivers.
- Liaison with Stakeholders:
- Act as a key point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and support to various departments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in finance and controllership roles, with a strong background in industry and assurance.
- Expertise: Proficiency in IND AS and experience managing audits (experience with listed entities is a plus).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of at least 5 members.
- Startup Experience: Prior experience in a startup environment is an added advantage.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
