Job Opportunity: Assistant Treasury Accountant – Doha
Location: Doha
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Management & Operations:
- Monitor Bank Balance and Statements:
- Regularly monitor and reconcile bank balances and statements, especially at the end of the month (EOM).
- Support Payables Team:
- Assist the payables team with supplier payments as needed, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Bank Letters and Fund Transfers:
- Arrange bank letters and handle fund transfers with messengers. Prepare amendments for Letters of Credit (LC) as required.
- Bank Account Matters:
- Assist with various bank account-related matters, including uploading payments and managing account details.
- Memo and Task Preparation:
- Prepare memos and tasks in the Zen Treasury system. Arrange IBAN certificates upon request from stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Banks:
- Liaise with banks regarding Point of Sale (POS) transactions and collect relevant cash reports.
- Pending Task Reports:
- Compile and arrange pending task reports for signoff by the Chief Management Director (CMD).
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in treasury management or accounting roles is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
