Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry, and a demonstrated ability to manage financial records, process payroll, and handle supplier payments efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in accounting software and tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Finalization of Accounts:
- Prepare and finalize financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with local accounting regulations and international financial standards.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities.
- Payroll Processing:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
- Payment Processing for Suppliers:
- Verify and process supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and handle queries related to payments.
- Ensure adherence to payment schedules and manage vendor relationships.
- Banking and Customer Liaison:
- Communicate and coordinate with bankers regarding account management and financial transactions.
- Maintain relationships with customers, ensuring timely resolution of financial queries.
- Assist in bank reconciliation and preparation of reports.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com or M.Com).
- Professional certifications (such as CPA, CMA) will be an advantage but not mandatory.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software like Sage X3 or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance procedures is preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members, vendors, and clients effectively.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
