Overview:
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a talented and experienced Accountant to join one of our esteemed companies in Qatar. The ideal candidate should bring extensive expertise in accounting, financial analysis, and profit & loss management, backed by strong communication skills and proficiency in relevant software tools. This role requires a meticulous approach to monitoring monthly sales, profitability, and other critical financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Profit & Loss Account Management:
- Oversee and manage the company’s profit and loss accounts.
- Analyze monthly sales and profitability, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, preparing reports that inform key business decisions.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Accounting and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions comply with company policies and regulations.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to Qatar’s accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing timely responses to audit queries.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments to facilitate seamless financial operations.
- Communicate financial insights clearly to relevant teams and management.
Key Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ICMA, CA Inter, or ACCA will be highly regarded.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5–7 years in a similar accounting role, with proven expertise in managing profit and loss accounts.
- Experience in monitoring monthly sales performance and profitability trends.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong command of financial analysis and data interpretation tools.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Thorough understanding of Qatar’s regulatory framework related to finance and accounting.
