Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Mumbai, India

Company: Mid-Sized Listed Chemical Company

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team at a mid-sized listed chemical company based out of Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 15 years of post-qualification experience and a proven leadership track record in manufacturing companies. Experience in listed companies is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability objectives.
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
    • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
    • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
    • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including disclosures and filings.
  • Financial Management and Operations:
    • Oversee the financial operations of the company, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial controls.
    • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital structure to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
    • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to the organization.
    • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to minimize exposure to financial risks.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investor Relations:
    • Manage relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present financial information to the Board of Directors and investors.
    • Handle investor communications, including earnings calls and investor meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience working in listed companies is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent strategic planning, financial analysis, and risk management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
