Role Overview:
Highgate International School Thailand seeks a Finance Manager to join their team in Pattaya. This role involves leading the financial operations of the school, including budget preparation, financial analysis, compliance assurance, and reporting. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the institution’s strategic decision-making processes by providing accurate and timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations Management
- Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Budget Preparation and Management
- Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets in line with the school’s objectives.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure budget adherence and proper allocation of resources.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Provide financial insights and projections to assist the leadership team in strategic decision-making.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure all financial activities comply with Thai financial regulations and standards.
- Handle tax filings, audits, and any external financial reviews.
- Data Analysis
- Conduct in-depth financial data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Utilize financial insights to recommend actionable strategies for enhancing financial performance.
- Educational Finance Management
- Oversee tuition fee collection and financial aid programs.
- Develop financial strategies tailored to the needs of an educational institution.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the school’s administrative and academic teams to align financial strategies with overall goals.
- Provide training or guidance on financial protocols to staff members as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Thai.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Strong expertise in creating financial forecasts, analyzing budgetary trends, and planning long-term financial strategies.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Thai financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Educational Sector Experience: Prior experience in managing finances within an educational institution is a significant advantage.
- Detail-Oriented and Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to maintain high attention to detail and deliver accurate analyses.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across diverse teams.
