Title: General Manager – Financial Accounting & Operations

Location: Gurgaon, India
Budget: Up to ₹70 LPA

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager – Financial Accounting & Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and operations, with a strong background in the retail, specifically apparel, business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee complete financial accounting, including bookkeeping, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and fixed assets (FA).
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all transaction tax regulations and reporting standards.

2. Audits and Compliance:

  • Manage internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to streamline processes and address discrepancies.

3. Operations Management:

  • Handle intercompany operations, ensuring seamless financial management across entities.
  • Optimize finance operations and establish efficient systems for AR, AP, and other transactions.

4. Project and Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead financial projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to objectives.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to support business goals and operational efficiency.

5. Tax Compliance:

  • Oversee transaction tax compliance, including filing and documentation, in adherence to regulations.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and ensure timely implementation of changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

Experience:

  • Minimum 13 years of experience in financial accounting and operations.
  • Proven expertise in retail business, especially the apparel industry.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP (preferred: SAP HANA) is essential.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards, and auditing practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
