Job Description : GL Section Head (HQ)

Position: GL (General Ledger) Section Head
Location: HQ
Industry: Contracting/Construction
Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in general ledger/accounting roles, with experience in contracting/construction companies.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. General Ledger Management

  • Oversee all general ledger functions, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of journal entries and adjustments.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and company policies.

3. Internal Controls and Audits

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

4. Collaboration and Leadership

  • Coordinate with other departments for accurate financial data integration.
  • Supervise and mentor the general ledger team for professional growth.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of general ledger processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
