Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager to join our team in Dubai. This pivotal role involves overseeing the financial operations of a diverse group of SMEs, providing strategic financial direction, and ensuring the organization’s financial health. The successful candidate will bring a solid understanding of finance within multi-industry contexts, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the group’s business objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare and manage budgets for multiple business units, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis to monitor performance.
- Financial Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow management, accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Optimize financial processes and systems for operational efficiency.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations and international accounting standards.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including consolidated group financial statements.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals across various business units.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Industry-Specific Financial Oversight
- Provide financial insights and oversight for industries such as real estate and agriculture.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and business growth within each sector.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7–10 years in financial management roles, preferably within a group of SMEs or multi-industry organizations.
- Strong familiarity with the financial aspects of real estate and agriculture is an advantage.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Personal Attributes:
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and communicate with stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
