Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Manager specializing in corporate laws to join our dynamic investment and asset management firm based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be bilingual and possess a strong background in corporate law, with a proven track record in managing legal matters within the investment and asset management sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Advisory:
    • Provide expert legal advice on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
    • Ensure that the company’s operations and transactions comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contract Management:
    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.
    • Manage contractual obligations and address any legal issues that may arise.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s operations and investments.
  • Corporate Governance:
    • Oversee corporate governance practices and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Advise senior management and the board of directors on corporate governance matters.
  • Dispute Resolution:
    • Handle legal disputes and litigation, including managing external legal counsel when necessary.
    • Resolve conflicts and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the legal team to enhance performance and ensure effective legal support.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the legal department.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. A Master’s degree or professional certification in corporate law is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as a Legal Manager or in a similar leadership role within the investment and asset management sector.
    • Strong knowledge of corporate laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in the UAE.
  • Skills:
    • Bilingual proficiency (English and Arabic) is mandatory.
    • Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills.
    • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
