Job Description

Position: Senior Accountant

Location: UAE
Industry: Healthcare

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Reconciliation

  1. Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly revenue from various sources, including:
    • Patient payments
    • Insurance reimbursements
    • Other income streams
  2. Ensure accurate recording of revenue in the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
  3. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue records and transactions.
  4. Collaborate with billing and accounts receivable teams to ensure alignment in revenue data.

Payout Preparation

  1. Calculate and prepare payouts for doctors based on:
    • Contractual agreements
    • Revenue share percentages
    • Other applicable terms
  2. Cross-verify payout calculations against revenue data and service records.
  3. Address inquiries from doctors regarding payouts and resolve disputes or discrepancies.
  4. Verify monthly payroll reports, track deductions, and manage pay changes, such as increments and promotions.
  5. Handle online salary transfer payments through WPS, including:
    • Doctor payouts
    • Staff claims settlements

Financial Reporting

  1. Generate periodic financial reports related to:
    • Revenue
    • Payouts
    • Account reconciliations
  2. Provide management with insights and recommendations based on revenue trends and payout analyses.
  3. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including:
    • Reconciliations
    • Journal entries
    • Adjustments
  4. Coordinate with statutory auditors for audit processes and ensure timely completion of statutory audits.

VAT Compliance

  1. Understand and comply with UAE VAT laws.
  2. Prepare, file, and manage VAT returns in adherence to UAE regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an accountant, with UAE healthcare experience being mandatory.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expertise in revenue reconciliation, payout preparation, and financial reporting.
    • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
