The selected candidate will lead the Finance & Accounts function at a senior management level, overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance for the manufacturing units.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Drive the financial strategy of the company and provide insights to the executive management team to support decision-making.
- Ensure alignment of financial goals with business objectives to achieve sustained growth.
- Monitor industry trends and conduct financial forecasting to assist in strategic planning.
Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Develop, manage, and oversee the annual financial budget in coordination with department heads.
- Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources and manage cost-control measures across the organization.
Plant Finance Management
- Oversee all finance and accounting operations for the manufacturing plants.
- Establish robust systems for monitoring operational performance, production costs, and inventory management.
- Ensure accurate costing and pricing mechanisms to maintain profitability.
Accounts Management
- Supervise the accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Drive process improvements in accounting to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including direct and indirect taxation, GST, and corporate law.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard company assets.
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Build cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence.
Reporting and Stakeholder Management
- Present financial reports and analysis to the senior management and board of directors.
- Build relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders for funding, credit management, and compliance.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of taxation, regulatory compliance, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Sector Knowledge:
- Prior experience in the manufacturing or automobile sector, specifically in plant finance and accounts.
- Familiarity with operational challenges and cost management in the manufacturing domain.
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented approach.
- Analytical Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ERP implementation for financial processes.
- Exposure to working in a high-growth environment with multi-plant operations.
- Familiarity with global reporting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) is a plus.
